Professional skateboarder Bam Margera was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly confronting two California Highway Patrol officers in Los Angeles.
Margera drove past two CHP officers who were already in the middle of pulling over another individual for an arrest when he shouted something out to the officers.
After the confrontation, the two CHP officers were able to detect a strong scent of alcohol which lead them to follow Mr. Margera and request for a field sobriety test.
After failing the test, he was arrested and sent to the LA county jail for booking. He was held on a $15,000 bond, but was eventually released on his own recognizance (not needing to contact a bondsman)
Margera Family Seeking Rehab For Bam
While this was his first arrest for DUI/DWI, Bam has battled alcoholism and drug addiction for many years.
After leaving the United States and travelling out of the country to regain his "skateboarding lifestyle", this unfortunate arrest has the Margera family in search of a rehabilitation center for Bam in either California or Arizona.
